What’s In My Makeup Bag

So today’s post is about the items that are currently in my make up bag. I own a hell of a lot more make up than what is featured in this post, but my oh my I would be here until next year writing about it all.

Kiko Milano Smart Hydrating Foundation – Warm Beige 15
I love Kiko’s foundation for an everyday look. It is great coverage and lasts a good while too. I got colour matched in a shop, so I have found the colour that suits me perfectly. They do so many different types of foundations too, but I love this one in particular as my skin has been pretty dry lately and this one keeps me perfectly hydrated.
I do own a Mac foundation but I keep that for nights out and special occasions, basically for the price and I’m a little on the skint side, so I’m keeping that foundation for best.

Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser Eye Concealer – Neutralizer
I read nothing but good things about this concealer from other bloggers and it’s all over Instagram, with make up artists even using it on celebrities! So, I thought I must try it out and see what the craze is about. I can honestly say I have not been disappointed. It’s coverage is amazing on my skin and I don’t think I will ever use another concealer for my under eye.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Powder – 120 Classic Ivory
This powder is perfect if you want your face to look matte. A small application of this powder does the job really well. The price is really reasonable, only costing a couple of pounds, too. However, I have found that you need to top up the powder as the day goes on. I tend to get a tad shiny. I don’t know whether that is the powder’s fault or if I have an underlying skin issue.

Sleek Face Contour Kit – Light 884
I have been a fan of the Sleek contour kit for a lot of years now. I don’t see myself changing products for contouring either. I love the colours the palette has and I find it works really well with my skin colouring and how I want the contour to look. I prefer a powder contour to a liquid one, I find powder easier to manage and blend. You can go dramatic or as subtle as you wish, too.

Too Faced Love Light Highligher – Ray of Light
I’ve wanted this highlighter for about six months, so I finally bought it in January with some Christmas money and I’m so glad I did. The shine of the highlighter is stunning and it really catches the light. They have so many gorgeous colours too it took me a while to choose which once I wanted.  I wanted them all!

Barry M Shape & Define Brow Kit – Medium to Dark
I’ve been using this type of product for my brows for about 5 years now, and I just love it. It comes with a wax, highlighter and a powder. It is everything I need to define and fill in my brows. It’s really cost effective too and lasts so long!

Kiko Milano Eyebrow Marker – 03
I use this simply to go over the Barry M powder I use on my eyebrows. It just darkens the product and makes my brows look more defined.

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Curl Addict – Black
This was a Christmas present from my mum last year. I’ve never been disappointed in the makeup she has bought me in the past, and this one doesn’t let her down either. The mascara is incredible and it makes my lashes look longer and with more volume with only one coat. I simply love this mascara and I would recommend it to anybody.

Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow – Kitten Karma and Diamond Dust
I’ve not got a bad word to say about these eyeshadows. Their coverage is really good, and with one coat my eyelids are covered with no gaps. I do however do two coats just for definition and more a more dramatic look. Although they are a little pricey, I would recommend this product, and I will probably be buying more in the near future.

L’Oreal Ultra Precision Superliner – Black
If it’s not broke don’t fix it. I have been using this type of liner since I started using liquid liner. I’ve tried other brands, but I seem to keep coming back to this one. I love the brush and how easy I find it to do a wing. Therefore, I will be sticking to this product for a while yet.

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer – Harmony
For such a cheap price this lacquer is great if you want a super matte lip look. The colour of this one is nude and subtle for a daily wear, but also looks great with a statement eye. The lipstick dries within seconds and lasts a good while, even passing the drinking test. I tend to find myself topping up this product about once a day. But I guess that depends if you’re doing loads of eating/drinking/kissing, etc!

Whats your favourite product in your makeup bag?

Also, I’m totally aware I don’t currently have a face or eye primer in the products above. That is because I am trying and testing out different primers at the moment. I haven’t found one that I love yet, so I haven’t noted them in my product list.

Do you have any face or eye primers that you recommend? Your help will be great.

I love posts where we get an “inside” look!! I’m a huge fan of the whole saying if it’s not broke don’t fix it too! I swear I try so many different products to only go back to my tried and true!

Kiko is great, they’re products are amazing and cost effective too, you’re right. I’ve never tried too faced palettes, I’ll have to give them a look. Thanks for reading! Xx

I love having a little snoop through people’s makeup bags! I don’t think I’ve tried any of these products other than the L’Oréal liner. I think my favourite product in my makeup bag is either my Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner or my Chanel mascara. Both holy grail items for me! x

I love reading these types of posts to see what makeup other people love! I don’t think I’ve tried any of these products except the Sleek contouring kit! I’ve definitely never tried anything from Kiko but I keep hearing good things about them so I might have to get some to test out soon!

I don’t actually know a ton about makeup, so I always find beauty posts like these super interesting to learn from. I have like two makeup products- one is a mascara and one is a tiny lil smashbox eyeshadow palette that I got on sale one time and I still use haha! I do actually try my best though and with all the makeup bloggers I’m discovering, I do actually think I’m getting better 🙂

I’ve never really used an eye primer, but I use the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer, it works like a charm for me. It’s nude so it blends right it with the skin and feels so smooth.
